alozieDr Alozie Ananaba MD, MPH, MWACP

Alozie is a medical doctor and public health expert with over 20 years senior level experience in designing and managing large scale public health programs at both national and International levels.

Alozie was a Fund Portfolio Manager with the Global Fund where he was responsible for a portfolio of grants for Botswana, Zimbabwe, Malawi and the regional SADC grants. Alozie also held senior level positions with the World Health Organization, The United States Centre for Disease Control Global AIDs program, (CDC-GAP), The United States Department of Defence HIV programme in Nigeria (US-DOD) and UNICEF.

Alozie has also consulted internationally for UNDP, UNAIDS, WHO, USAID, UNITAID and several other International NGOs. He has vast experience at developing and managing partnerships with Governments and other International agencies with the USG, EU, DFID, CIDA and the UN family as examples.

He has authored several strategy level documents including the Presidential Comprehensive Response Plan for HIV/AIDs in Nigeria; The Nigeria Malaria Strategic Plan (2014 -2020); Global Fund proposals for Nigeria, South Sudan, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Kenya, Lesotho and Sierra Leone.

Alozie holds a medical degree from the University of Nigeria; a Masters’ in Public Health from the University of Lagos; a Management diploma from the Thunderbird School of Global Management Switzerland and a Membership of the West African College of Physicians.

 nkatasDr Nkata Chuku MD, MSC

Nkata is a public health specialist with over 14 years experience in designing and implementing strategies for increasing access to health care for those at the base of the pyramid. ​ His expertise includes developing health systems mechanisms, policy analysis and development and the application of impact and cost effectiveness analysis in choosing health interventions/approaches.

Nkata was a part of the senior management team at FHI 360 responsible for increasing the country’s portfolio from $215million to over $400million within 4 years. He was also responsible for managing a portfolio of about $20million per annum and played lead roles in developing FHI 360’s successful proposal for US government (USAID AND CDC) totalling over $550million.

He also developed and managed KPMG’s Healthcare Advisory Practice for West Africa and International Development Advisory Strategy for Nigeria. ​ He has also provided technical assistance to governments at the regional, national and sub-national levels. He supported the development of several strategy documents including the National Strategic Development Plan (NSHDP) 2010 – 2015, National HIV/AIDS Strategy 2009 – 2013 and National Tuberculosis Strategic Plan 2015 – 2020 and was a member of the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) technical team that reviewed Nigeria’s UHC agenda and proposed implementing strategies.

He has also consulted for international NGOs including USAID and DFID. ​ Nkata holds a medical degree from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, an MSc in Health Policy, Planning and Financing from London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), London and a Diploma in Public Health from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSTHM).

Dr. Pat Youri is a medical doctor with specialist qualifications in Paediatrics and Public Health. He has more than three decades of professional experience working in Sub-Sahara Africa and the United Kingdom.

As an independent international public health consultant, he has consulted extensively for many governments, CSOs, and funding agencies including major international donor agencies USG (USAID & CDC), DFID/UKAID, the European Commission, the World Bank, the Global Fund, and the UN System.

Rosemary is a Public Health professional with vast experience in Tanzania’s health sector across both private and public sub-sectors. She supports and leads HSCL projects in Tanzania.

She is an expert in Procurement and Supply Chain Management; Business Development; Human Capital Development; Operations Research both Quantitative and Qualitative and Economic Evaluations of public health programs.

While working with CHAI as Director of Programmes in Tanzania, Rosemary successfully supported the implementation of HIV service delivery programmes in rural settings; Improved availability of HIV commodities; supported the pilot for the AMFm project which transformed to a national programme. She also led the strengthening of the logistics system and developed the Pharmacy module for a commodity management tool which changed the management of HIV commodities in Tanzania.

victorsVictor Kamara

Victor is a development expert with Public Health background. Victor has worked with various organization at a regional, national and international level providing technical assistance and coordination to various project implementation.

As a Project Officer with National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) in Sierra Leone he supported over 50 implementing partners to design, process, implement, monitor and report HIV/AIDS related projects with a value of US $25,000 and above. He mainstreamed HIV/AIDS into NaCSA’s programmes and contributes to the goals of Sierra Leone HIV AIDS Response Project (SHARP).

He coordinated the implementation of a Child Survival Baseline survey in Rural Western Area conducted by PLAN International and the Ministry of Health, leading to a Comprehensive Primary Health Care package in collaboration with UNICEF and MOH.

Funke is a Management Consultant with experience in strategic advisory services, organization design, operational reviews and improvement, corporate performance management, project management, financial management and stakeholder management.

At HSCL, she is the Director of Project Management, Business Development and Strategy where she leads the translation of clients’ expectations and needs into actionable plans and outcomes. She also plays a key role in the execution of the HSCL’s portfolio of technical advisory/ assistance engagements with key focus on institutional/system review and strengthening, organization design and operational efficiency.

Prior to joining HSCL, Funke was a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Infrastructure, Government and Health division where she provided advisory services to clients in the public and development sectors. While at KPMG, she led various work teams on the provision of strategic planning and development services; development of performance management frameworks; diagnostic reviews of operational effectiveness and financial performance; development of target operating models and development of business/funding plans for a variety of clients including the Federal Government, Not for Profit organizations and private sector entities in the Health, ICT and telecommunication sectors.

Funke holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from University of Lagos and is a certified Project Management Professional
